Kid’s Closet Connection is KUAC’s featured sponsor for June 2023!
Kid’s Closet Connection Fairbanks is a local semi-annual sale that connects families who want to sell gently used children’s items with those who want to purchase quality kid’s items at a fraction of retail prices. By providing this service, Kid’s Closet Connection helps families save money on children’s items while also reducing waste by giving gently-used items a second life. Kid’s Closet Connection Fairbanks was brought to our community in 2017 by Emily Berriochoa and has since built relationships with local moms and non-profit organizations such as The Fyndout Free Clinic, The Door Youth Shelter, and Interior Alaska Center For Non-Violent Living.
As the new owner of Kid’s Closet Connection Fairbanks, Mandi Hart is excited to continue building on Emily’s legacy and giving back to the community. According to Mandi, “Our community is unique with living in the Interior; options for finding children’s items are limited and can be costly. Kid’s Closet Connection Fairbanks brings so many opportunities to our community. We are limiting what is going into the landfill, local families can make extra cash or find what they need for their children at lower prices, and local non-profits are able to obtain needed items.”
Kid’s Closet Connection Fairbanks is committed to promoting recycling while giving back to local non-profit organizations like KUAC. Mandi puts it best: “KUAC plays a key role in the Interior and keeping community families informed of what is happening here locally.”
