Parking 101 for KUAC Fundraiser
Thanks for volunteering. Plan to arrive early! If you are volunteering after 5 p.m. or on weekends, parking is no problem. If you are with us on weekdays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be 2 spots in the Fine Arts gold lot saved for KUAC volunteers and 4 in the Whitaker Lot (UAF police station). They will be clearly marked and are for your use but of course they are limited in number. Otherwise, it is advised that you follow these instructions. Click here and print this permit and park in the UAF Taku parking lot across from the borough transfer site. Turn off Farmers Loop onto Taku Drive and take the first right into the parking lot near the bus shelter.
If you arrive on time, you can get a free ride in the KUAC Kruiser (Facilities Services van)! Watch for the van Monday through Friday from 6:40 a.m. to 5: 20 p.m., coming and going to KUAC as phone bank shifts begin and end. If you prefer to walk, give yourself extra time!
