The Blue Loon

The Blue Loon is KUAC’s September Featured Corporate Sponsor

A Yelp review sums up the Blue Loon: “Dinner, drinks, concerts and movies; there is always something going on at the Blue Loon. Looks pretty rustic from the outside (I think it is an old airplane hanger) but the inside is cool pub atmosphere.”

The Loon, as locals affectionately call it, is celebrating 20 years of providing high quality entertainment to our diverse community. In addition to fun events like comedy performances and concerts, the Blue Loon also hosts lectures and movie festivals. And the menu offers food that isn’t fancy but is made with quality ingredients.

Owner Adam Wool loves to bring popular musicians to his establishment, ranging from Snoop Dogg to Wilco, Taj Mahal, Indigo Girls, Presidents of the United States, Sublime, Johnny Winter, The Wailers, Michael Franti and Hell’s Belles.

He chooses to support KUAC because it valuable to his family. “KUAC represents so many of us here in Fairbanks,” Wool said. “Its audience is as diverse as Fairbanks itself and I like it a lot, both FM and TV. We couldn’t live here without it.”

The Blue Loon is located at 2999 Parks Highway. Learn more at theblueloon.com or call 456-5666.
