Roaming Root Cellar is KUAC’s Featured Sponsor for July
The Roaming Root Cellar began in February 2020 with a bus. A 23-foot, 1976 Bluebird International, to be exact. They had to immediately shut down due to COVID, but even that couldn’t stop this business from supplying their community with locally grown and made food, as they switched to doing deliveries from home and reopened in May 2020.
Since then, the Roaming Root Cellar has survived the pandemic and grown into a bonafide storefront. On their one-year anniversary, they doubled the size of the store by renting the space next door and carving a hole in the wall to join the two.
Roaming Root specializes in local produce, meat, pet food, gifts and offers community supported agriculture shares (boxes full of what is grown locally each summer month). “We were able to thrive through the support of our amazing community, and by curating a collection of only the finest locally made and grown groceries and gifts,” said Erica Moeller, owner.
She supports KUAC because it fosters community through their programming, and she wants to give back in the same way so many have helped her business. The shop is located at 372 Old Chena Pump Rd, Suite D. Visit roamingrootak.com.
