Quyanaq, Mahsi’ Cho, Chin’an and Every Other Way We Can Think Of To Say Thank You
Thank you to everyone who helped make KUAC’s 2017 Fall Fundraiser one for the records!
It was a memorable event, with nine fun-filled days. We persevered through construction work overhead and fire alarms causing us to evacuate the building.
We reveled in the joy that people found in the new color-revealing mug, designed by volunteer Naomi Hutchens. Donors walked in and called just to reserve this special mug. Thank you, Naomi, for your brilliant design work!
Friday morning’s Mining Challenge blew through the roof with phone bank volunteer scrambling to take all the calls.
Nearly 500 volunteers poured into the basement of the Fine Arts Building throughout the Fall Fundraiser, giving their time to help sustain KUAC. Thanks to each of you for caring enough to stand with the facts; stand with KUAC.
Assistant General Manager Gretchen Gordon said, “This is remarkable. People really came through for KUAC!”
Special thanks to all donors who generously support KUAC TV and FM.
We particularly thank all the sponsors who added extra money through a multitude of challenges.
The restaurants and food vendors kept our plates full and our stomachs happy all the time, including Pita Place, Marlo’s Bakery, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Nutrition Services, Raven Landing, Hot Licks Homemade Ice Cream, Sipping Streams Tea Co., Alaska Coffee Roasting Co., Chartwells @ UAF Catering, Sourdough Fuel & Food Mart, LUNCH Café & Eatery, Diving Duck Organic Coffee, Great Harvest Bread Co., Lane’s Quickie Tacos, Cookie Jar, Gulliver’s Books, Pagoda, Lemongrass Thai Cuisine and River City Café.
We could never thank you all of you enough, but we will keep trying. We are looking forward to our Spring Fundraiser April 6-8, 2018.
