Interior Women’s Health has been serving the Fairbanks area since 2003, offering well-woman, obstetric and gynecologic care to women across their reproductive lifespan.
Led by Dr. Karl Baurick, the center offers support and advice, along with annual exams, pap smears, breast exams, contraception, menopause care, STD screening, urinary issues, in-house surgeries, robotic surgeries, scans and procedures by a team of physicians, nurse midwives and nurse practitioners.
Housed upstairs in the clinic, Interior Women’s Health birthing facility features private, home-like birth suites with modern, comfortable accommodations. Patients make the choice of low intervention, water birth or family setting, with medical staff standing by through the process to ensure safety and security.
Postnatal care, including physical and psychological assessments, is available after the baby arrives. Interior Women’s Health also offers fertility services, guiding patients through in vitro fertilization.
As a long-time supporter of KUAC, Dr. Baurick said KUAC FM is the only radio station he listens to. “It’s where you get fair and balanced news with great news sources,” he said. He also enjoys folk music programming on KUAC FM.
