Art Buswell Society
In late 2005, KUAC established a major giving society in the name of one of its founding fathers, Art Buswell. Art loved Alaska and was committed to improving the quality of life for all Alaskans. In 1971, Art helped to establish KUAC as the first public television station in the Great Land.

To honor his dedication to community, integrity and education, KUAC established the Art Buswell Society; a major giving society recognizing donors exhibiting a commitment to the public broadcasting mission in Alaska through their annual gifts of $1,000 or more.

Since its inception, KUAC/AlaskaOne has been honored to welcome 92 members to the Art Buswell Society who help build a more sustainable funding model for KUAC.
