Hearing Double? You bet! KUAC has been pleased to assist KRFF, the new Athabascan Fiddler’s Association owned radio station at 89.1 FM as they get their operations off the ground. KRFF’s broadcast mission will focus on Interior Alaska Native issues.
Over the past few months you may have thought you were hearing double and that’s because KRFF has been rebroadcasting KUAC’s FM signal on the weekends. We’re excited to announce that KRFF will be receiving and installing the final pieces of equipment over the next week so that they can begin broadcasting programming from Native Voice One.
It may be or have been confusing for some KUAC listeners if they scan/seek KUAC 89.9 FM and land on 89.1. We apologize for the confusion and certainly appreciate your patience as we assist and welcome our neighbors down the dial.
