Effective November 2, 2015, KUAC will resume broadcasting of Alaska News Nightly at 6 p.m. on KUAC 89.9 FM and KUAC HD.

KUAC and Alaska Public Media (Alaska Public Radio Network’s parent company) have reached an agreement to bring back Alaska News Nightly, temporarily, after ongoing negotiations. Alaska news is important to Alaskans, and we are glad to offer this service as long as it is available and affordable.

Additional budget cuts this fiscal year will continue to affect KUAC and most other state services. We are grateful for the sustaining support of our listeners and viewers that have allowed us to offer high quality programming as we have grappled with more than $360,000 in cuts during the last two fiscal years. We are pleased that Alaska Public Media could come to terms to provide what we believe is a very important service to our listeners.
