Face time! Enjoy the photos from our Volunteer Appreciation Event, including a shot of Susie Hackett as she accepts the Spirit of KUAC Award, as our “Volunteer of the Year.” Congratulations, Susie, and thanks to all our volunteers who make it possible for KUAC to succeed in our ambitious mission of providing public broadcasting to Alaska!
Need To Know, a new weekly primetime news and public affairs series is slated to debut on PBS Friday, May 7th at 8:00 p.m. (not 8:30 p.m. as previously stated). It replaces several different news and current affairs programs, amongst them the show NOW on PBS, which has its final broadcasts this weekend. Bill Moyer’s Journal is also ending, due to Moyers’ retirement.
At the annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, Susie was named the "Volunteer of the Year" and recognized with the crystal "Spirit of KUAC" award, which recognizes "Commitment to Excellence" in service to KUAC. Congratulations, Susie!
Whether giving for the first time, renewing your annual gift or making an additional gift, KUAC depends on YOU as the most reliable source of funding to the public broadcasting mission in Alaska.
